History of Living Word Lutheran

The name Living Word comes from Hebrews 4:12: For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Our first worship service was held on December 5th 1999 in the basement of WEMI radio 1909 W. 2nd St in Appleton.  We became an official affiliate with the Association of Free Lutheran Congregation on October 25th 2002.  We are currently a non-subsidized home missions congregation of the AFLC.  We moved to our current facility on November 2nd 2003.
